Privacy Policy

We take your privacy seriously. Here's everything you need to know about how we handle your data.

Last updated: April 2026

Zion Connect ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Zion Connect mobile application and related services. By using Zion Connect, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you register for Zion Connect, we collect the following information: • Your full name, email address, and phone number as provided during registration. • Your church membership details (church name, membership status). • Device information and usage data for analytics and performance improvement. • Any content you create within the app (e.g., messages, responses to announcements). We do not collect payment information directly — all billing is managed at the church level through secure third-party payment processors.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: • Provide and maintain the Zion Connect service for you and your congregation. • Send you notifications about church announcements, news, and updates. • Enable communication between church members and administration. • Improve our app features and user experience through anonymised analytics. • Respond to your support requests and queries. • Comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to any third party, ever.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase's cloud infrastructure with the following protections: • All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols. • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensure your data is only accessible to you and authorised members of your congregation. • No church can access another church's data — isolation is enforced at the database level. • Regular security audits are conducted to ensure ongoing protection.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically: • Active account data is retained for the duration of your membership. • If your church administrator removes your membership, your account access is immediately revoked and your personal data is scheduled for deletion after 30 days. • You may request immediate deletion of your data at any time (see Section 5). • Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data: • Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. • Correction: You may update your profile information in Settings → Profile. • Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@zionconnect.app. • Portability: You may request your data in a portable format before deletion. • Objection: You may object to certain uses of your data by contacting us. 6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make significant changes: • We will notify you through the app or via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. • The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. • Continued use of Zion Connect after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
